My nearly 3-year-old is far too verbal for her own good. It first started several months ago when she used the word “actually.” I accidentally referred to her by her brother’s name. “Actually, mom, I’m a girl,” she responded. Yikes! Where did she get that? And she’s 2.
Then this week I overheard her use a phrase of mine: “Dang it!” I was packing for our recent trip up north and said that in reference to forgetting something. Yup… guess what came out of her mouth? And daycare told me she said, “Crud” and then head-butted her teacher (who was so in shock she just laughed). Yes that’s another word of mine. Well, thankfully we don’t use any other foul language in my home or I’d certainly be getting daily calls from her teachers!
